Educational workshops inspired by Italian Fairy Tales – Organised by the Talea Association of Sanremo
Italo Calvino collected more than two hundred fairy tales from the various oral traditions of as many places and regions in Italy. This is the starting point for the workshops organised by the Talea Association of Sanremo, with the collaboration of writer Maria Pia Pesce. In fairy tales, the lives of people and animals are intertwined in timeless magic: talking frogs, grateful eagles, invincible lions, witches, children as small as a chickpea, princesses greedy for figs. And then precious rings, magic boxes; finally, sea creatures such as Cola Pesce who was at sea from morning to night, the Crab Prince trapped in the abyss by a spell, or Peppi who set off in his bastion to win the heart of a princess.
