OliOliva 2024, the festival of new oil, scheduled from November 8 to November 10. The historic center of Imperia Oneglia is once again transformed into the capital of extra virgin olive oil, with the arcades, streets and squares invaded by stands where all the typical products of this land can be tasted and purchased.

Imperia is divided between two souls: the modern and lively one, Oneglia, and the romantic and dreamy one, Porto Maurizio. Once separate municipalities, in 1923 these two towns were united, along with nine other boroughs, by royal decree, creating Imperia.
With its beaches, typical waterfront restaurants, and old colorful fishermen’s houses, Oneglia also offers several cultural points of interest, from the Olive Tree Museum to MACI, the contemporary art museum in Villa Faravelli. A visit to Villa Grock, residence of the famous Swiss clown and home of the Clown Museum, is not to be missed.
Porto Maurizio, on the other hand, Imperia’s oldest village, enchants with its caruggi, typical Ligurian alleyways, and porticoes overlooking the sea, creating some very atmospheric postcards. From Parasio, the medieval area, you can enjoy the view of the gulf, and then go down to the beaches and the typical Marina area, where the Naval Museum with Planetarium is also located. Don’t miss the Cathedral of San Maurizio, the largest church in Liguria.
