PFM sings De Andrè Anniversary

On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the “Fabrizio De André and PFM in concert” live shows and twenty years after the poet’s death, PFM – Premiata Forneria Marconi – will return to stages all over Italy in spring with “PFM canta De André – Anniversary”, a tour to celebrate the successful association with the Genoese singer-songwriter and to present a series of concerts dedicated to that event.

To renew the embrace between rock and poetry, songs from “La buona Novella” will be added to the original setlist. “PFM sings De André – Anniversary” as before will have a spectacular line-up on stage with two special guests: Flavio Premoli (PFM founder) with the unmistakable magic of his keyboards and Michele Ascolese, Faber’s historic guitarist, and video projections of Guido Harari’s historic photographs.

Fabrizio said: ‘Our tour was the first example of collaboration between two completely different ways of conceiving and performing songs. It was an unrepeatable experience because PFM was not just a group of excellent musicians gathered for the occasion, but a group with an important history that changed the course of Italian music. Here, one day they took all this and put it at my service…’.

“PFM sings De André – Anniversary” comes after the intense world tour that was an overwhelming success from Japan to the Americas via the UK, and then stopped in our country throughout the summer. During the concerts, in addition to the greatest hits from its vast repertoire, PFM also presented songs from its new album ‘Emotional Tattoos’ (released worldwide on 27 October, by InsideOutMusic/SonyMusic).
